Article III, Section A (2) (e)
Question:
Under Article III A (2) (e) of the Plan, benefits are provided for physiotherapy treatment, if such treatments are prescribed and supervised by a physician. Does this mean that the therapy must be directly supervised by a physician?
Answer:
No. The original treatment plan for physiotherapy must be prescribed by a physician and, thereafter, supervised by him/her. Supervision does not require the actual presence of the physician during the administration of the therapy.
